We have come to the last beer I’m able to review before going back to work, but if you look at the bottom of this site you will see what is next to be crossed of the list when I am back home in a couple of weeks. Same story on how I got this beer as the beers from the last two weeks.

The beer is dark brown or amber with a small carbonated head that made it look like I was pouring Coca-Cola when I poured it. A faint roasted smell to it. It tastes very light with some sweetness to it before finishing with a malty and bitter taste. As mentioned in review of the beer from Andorra two weeks ago, one beer closer to finishing Europe.

England

England

Newcastle Brown Ale

Brewery: Heineken UK
Style: Brown Ale
ABV: 4.5%
Country number: 27
Bought at: Backstage in Stavanger, Norway
Date: 29/11/2014
My Untappd rating: 3.50

Another week of revisits and a week of some explanation. The reason for this is that the first beer from England registered on Untappd was San Miguel brewed by Carlsberg UK. As I had this at a local bar here in Stavanger I’m not 100% sure if it was brewed in England or Spain. I have therefor chosen to use Newcastle Brown Ale as my entry for crossing England of the list. This beer was also enjoyed at a local bar here in my hometown, namely Backstage.

The beer is dark brown in colour with a thin creamy head. It tastes sweet with hints of caramel and some slight bitterness towards the end. Roasty creamy feel as the taste fades away.
